The Corno Castle was born as a strategic garrison of the Val di Pesa, located between the peoples of San Pancrazio and Santa Cristina in Salivolpe to defend the border between Siena and Florence.

Its name comes from the ancient Florentine family of Pistoia origins, the “Del Corno”

In 1523, at the height of the Renaissance, the estate became part of the heritage of the Strozzi family, effectively becoming the residence of the Grand Duke of Tuscany.

From the end of the nineteenth century, after a laborious transfer of ownership, the estate became part of the assets of the family of the Counts Frova Arroni of Arrone, today it is easy to find Countess Maria Giulia in the garden cutting her roses.

Since the 1990s, after the restoration of some farmhouses, the important agritourism hospitality activity has also taken place.
